Message: Family Vacation 2009. Eydie Voorhees, NJ Date of Stay: August 2009 This was one of our best family vacations ever! Aruba is truly amazing -- perfect weather every day! Alan is wonderful to deal with & very professional. From the moment I contacted him, I knew I was dealing with someone knowledgeable and reliable. I told him the kind of rental we needed, and he matched us up with the perfect 2 bed, 2 bath condo with stunning views. The condo was clean, spacious, and in new condition. It's the nicest place we've ever rented. The location is "right on" -- private, yet close to everything by just hopping a cab or bus. We explored the island without renting a car which added to our perfect vacation. However, car rental suggested if you have very small children (unless you don't mind bringing them on bus or hopping cab with them). On a scale of 1-10, this vacation receives "11" -- off the charts! A "must do" for those who want to see the sights: all day Jeep Safari tour. This tour enables you to see the other side of the island - I highly recommend the ALL DAY tour. This was one of best things we did in Aruba and plan to do it again when we return. Don't miss one of the best restaurants in town "Blossoms" -- The Blossoms at Aruba Resort, casino and Spa (located in the Westin). The place is absolutely fantastic - probably the best Japanese / Chinese restaurant we have ever visited. I normally don't believe in vacationing at the same place more than once since there are so many things to see in this world. However, I must make an exception to my own rule because I can't get Aruba out of my mind and do plan to return! Owner's Response: Wow! Thank you for this tremendous review including your appreciation of our service. Oceania is still the only beachfron condo resort in Aruba; all other beachfront resorts are either hotel or timeshare. The excellent location is clearly pointed out in this review, being close to everything but still relaxing and maximum privacy. And as we inform our guests, it is not a necessity to rent a car when staying here, even though we do recommend renting one if you wish to explore the rest of the island on your own time and pace. Thanks again for the compliments, and we too look forward to being your host once again in the nearby future! Alan.

Message: Wonderful Experience Sat & Ann West Chester PA, USA. Date Submitted: July 07, 2009. Date of Stay: June 2009. Rented this Unit from June 27 thru July 3rd. Spacious, quiet, peaceful. Beach across the street, pool out front. Nice breeze all day long. Safe and secure. Rented a car, so groceries, shopping, site seeing was on my time. Sunset view from the balcony is worth it...grab a cold one and chill out. Unit had beach chairs which I placed in the truck and drove over to the beach...yes I am that lazy. But it gave me options when we stopped at other beaches. Alan is the best...was there to greet us, had done the shopping we asked, arranged a car rental and is only a phone call away. Will do this again. PS. This was our fourth trip to Aruba and the other three times were in hi-rise hotels. The kids thought they might miss the ambiance of the hotels but agreed later that this was way better. Recommended for: Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children. Owners Response: Another great review; thanks for the great comments and praising words! It becomes more and more obvious that the location of this resort, and the setting of this particular condo is what makes the guests feel and home, and be able to relax and enjoy. And being so close to all activities, restaurants and the (more crowded) high-rise hotel areas, you actually don't miss out on anything if you don't want to! "We treat all our guests as special guests" is our slogan, and I'm glad you appreciate our service too. Alan.

Message: From: Sauk city, WI, USA. Re: Premium Two-bedroom condo. Date of stay: December 2008. --- Just returned from a week at the Oceania with our 3 adult (20's) children. Loved every part of this experience! Having rented many beach condos throughout the Caribbean and Atlantic, this is by far the most beautiful and spacious one to date. Loved the layout of the unit. Each bedroom is very private. Great kitchen and lanai. Beautiful views. Location on Eagle beach was premiere and relaxing. Easy stroll to a couple bar/restaurants with outdoor seating. Although I never felt the need for it, security was very diligent (frequently walking the grounds, and manning the gated entrance) and friendly (always willing to call a cab). I had frequent email communications with Alan prior to our visit. His service and management is superior to any I've incurred elsewhere. He even made sure to offer the option of groceries in our fridge since we were arriving on a holiday and the stores were closed. His welcome gift of champagne to ring in the new year was a nice touch, as well as calling within an hour of our arrival to make sure all was satisfactory. Very professional and responsive. Didn't try it out but there's also a new waterpark right behind the condo. Took a 1/2 day Jeep tour with De Palm Tours. Rough ride, but a fun adventure and nice way to see the other side of the island. Reserved it at the Costa Linda resort nearby and then De Palm picked us up at our condo. The culmination of the week was the Old Man and the Sea Restaurant. Reserve the gazebo on the water. Unbelievable food, wine and atmosphere!!! Worth the $30 cab ride! The Oceania is a very neat, well maintained quiet place to get away. If we return to Aruba, we definitely want to stay here again!! Recommended for: Romantic Getaway, Age 55+, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children Owners Response: Thanks for yet another excellent review! I did not expect these kinds of exciting and encouraging comments, because we just do our best to make our guests feel at home, whilst being far away from home. I'm also glad you liked the new restaurant I recommended, because I recently enjoyed a wonderful dinner there too. Oceania resort is defintely the place to be in Aruba, if you want to be on the beach, close to all main tourist activities and establishments, but yet is all privacy, tranquility and luxury. Hope to see you here once more, and thanks again! Alan.

Message: What a View!!! Tradewinds Tom Sagamore Hills, Ohio USA. Date Submitted: July 07, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008 This place was fantastic. The view over the ocean was beautiful from both of the private balconies. Being on the third floor allowed us to see over the palm trees and observe many ships in the distance coming into Oranjestad harbor. We spent many hours on the balconies in the constant warmth of the ever-present trade winds. The written description and photos on the website accurately depict the unit. The rooms are large and the bed was very comfortable. We found the kitchen to be fully equipped. All dishes, cookware, appliances, etc. were new and of high quality. The pool was beautiful. Our representative, Alan, was very friendly and helpful. We rented a small car for the entire week. Alan coordinated the rental for us. It is easy to see much of the island in a week, since it is only about 20 miles long. Snorkeling at Baby Beach was great. Almost the entire Baby Beach snorkeling lagoon is less than five feet deep, which is great for first time snorkelers and terrible swimmers. The California Lighthouse and the island's north shore are also great destinations. Driving in Oranjestad was fun but challenging. Learn the traffic signs BEFORE driving in Oranjestad! Eating dinners out is expensive, but worth it. We loved Screaming Eagle (within walking distance - try eating "in bed"), Flying Fishbone and Iguana Joe's. We would definitely recommend this place to others. Unlike most of the high rise area hotels, it allowed us to eat our breakfasts and lunches "in", thereby saving our money for nice dinners out.

Message: Awesome rental (1-bedroom condo). ZsaZsa Lake Norman, NC. Date Submitted: April 19, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008 My husband and two boys stayed in this unit for one night b/c we were waiting on a 2 bedroom unit (which was beautiful) to be available. This unit is very nice. Decorated tastefully and the bedroom is huge! I was surprised at how large the unit is. The unit is right above the pool and at night the lights are gorgeous. There is a nice, clean fitness room that we used every day and the pool was not crowded at all. There is a sandy "beach" at the low end of the pool. The beach is across the street, but only a few feet and that stretch of beach is one of the prettiest on Aruba. We went to the beach at the high rise hotel strip and it was so crowded, people were packed in like sardines with no free umbrellas. We left and went back to our pool and felt so lucky! We had a rental car and explored the island. If you didn't want to get a car, you could easily take a cab to the restaurants at night. There are several (3) good restaurants in walking distance from the unit. I felt very safe in Aruba. The people are so nice and friendly. Not once did I feel uncomfortable. I felt appreciated as a tourist everywhere we went. Alan (condo manager) is a genuine good guy. He came right away when we called him for something and took care of it with a "no problem" attitude. We think, after seeing the high rise section and the rest of the island, that this is the best place to stay in Aruba. You get privacy and space in a beautiful unit and you can get to any restaurant in 5 minutes.

Message: This (premium 2-bedroom)condo is perfect Sue M. Houston, TX. Date Submitted: May 09, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008 My husband and I and our two boys (15 and 12) stayed in this condo over spring break (mid-March 2008) and were very pleased with not only the condo and the grounds, but the management of the unit, which I'll get to in a minute. The pictures of this condo do not do it justice. This is a very well-appointed, elegant unit. The view is wonderful from the balcony, which runs along the entire living area and master bedroom. My husband and I made sure we were back home each evening so we could enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony as the sun set over the water. The grounds are lovely, and the boys had fun trying to catch the iguanas and native Aruban whiptails (which are beautiful turquoise lizards) as they sunned themselves. The beach is literally a one-minute walk across the street, and there's also a very nice pool area that the boys loved. You won't miss not being in the 'high-rise' area, which is busy and has a lot of traffic comparatively, even if you plan to gamble at the casinos. We liked the fact that our condo was peaceful and quiet, yet we could get to the casinos and shopping in about 5 minutes' drive time. You will need a car to get around the island and to the many fabulous restaurants which management can recommend. Speaking of management, Alan Riley is wonderful. He called us periodically to make sure everything was okay, and when we couldn't get the safe in our closet opened, he sent a repair person over right away to fix it. The bed in the master is a very comfortable king, and you can see the ocean from the bed. The boys slept in twins and enjoyed the big flat screen TV in their room. There's also flat screens in the living area and master. I didn't try the boys' shower, but ours was wonderful, room enough for two if you're in a hurry. We didn't cook much, just ate breakfast and sometimes lunch, but the kitchen is very nice and has everything you'd need to prepare a big meal. An elevator is nearby, but not too close. You don't hear anyone coming and going. When you book a place you haven't seen, you always wonder what you're getting yourself into. We were extremely pleased with the condo and Alan, and highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Aruba.
